I bailed DA for a while because I stopped doing art (long story) and I come back a little and wow, new logo and stuff? I mean, I log in a few times of a month, so I'm not super behind, but like a lot of people I think the new logo is kind of.... unfit.
On one hand, I do think it's really cool, and I like the strong, bold design across the announcement that came with it, and I think the fact the logo tessellates is really fucking awesome. I'm sure it's a wonderful logo... but not for dA. Like, really. There's nothing about the green icon alone that says DeviantART to me within the first second.
